V 5.12
In the task tree (found in the "task list" tab of the task window) there is a new hierarchy level
for all task status. For instance the pending tasks can now be easily grouped by issue date, by due date,
by procedure, by rack or by room.
A color can be defined for standard tasks. This color is shown in the little triangle in
the first column of mouse or cage tables. The color shown here corresponds to the color of the
color of the task with the earliest due date. For some system tasks the color is defined. The
system defined standard task "Kill" is red, "Transfer" is green. Non standard tasks ("Other")
are shown in dark gray. Default color is a light gray. The color of institute-defined standard
tasks can be set by the HEAD OF SERVICE user. The color of group-defined standard tasks can be
set by the GURU of the group.
Task triangles like the ones shown in the first column of mouse or cage tables can be shown
in the rack display. Whether or not these triangles are shown there can be defined using the
preferences.
New tooltip mode for cages in the rack view and in cage tables: tasks. There are now three
modes in the "cages" tab of Preferences window
simple: tooltip shows a list of the mice with the line color as background
tasks: tooltip shows a list of the tasks scheduled for this cage
cage card: tooltip shows the cage card (using the last chosen label printer). A zoom
factor can be chosen.
The rack selection element in the rack window shows as tooltip the tasks of the selected rack
In the rack overview you get as tooltip the tasks of the rack where your mouse pointer is over.
New column for cage tables: "Tasks" shows the number of tasks for the mice in the respective cage
New column for standard task tables: "Definition type" shows whether the standard task is
a system-, institute- or group-defined task
New search mode for cage search: Search cages with tasks
In the main task table you can select individual tasks by clicking while the ALT-Key is pressed
even if you determined via the Preferences that connected tasks should be selected together automatically.
This is useful if you want to change a task for a single mouse only.
V 5.11
Tables can be filtered by an arbitrary text. E. g. If you specified "wt" in the filter element of
the "genotype" column of a mouse table, only those mice will be shown for which the genotype contains
the text "wt". You can filter for contained text or not contained text. In the example you can specify that
you want to see only those lines with a "wt" in the genotype column or for those without a "wt" in this text.
You can also specify to filter for more patterns spearated by a space. E. g. entering "+ fl" will show only
those lines with either a "+", a "fl" or both in the respective column. This filtering is not case sensitive.
In filtered tables the filtered columns are indicated by a red header
Changing the settings for filtering or visibility (ownership for mice and cages) does not change
the order of the shown lines and new lines are sorted in according to the last used sorting method
Improved filtering for cage numbers
Lines imported from Legacy system can be changed directly.

V 5.0
Service group.
Mouse cohorts.
Owner groups. The guru can define groups of users which can be used as owners of mice like normal users. But you can
alter these groups afterwards. The ownership is always determined on the fly. So for a given user Mausoleum
checks the three possibilities for a a mouse ownership:
The mouse has no defined owner. In this case all users of this group own this mouse (if
this is possible for the given user)
The user is a defined owner of this mouse
The user is part of an owner group which is defined as owner of this mouse
Security level for rooms. In general Mausoleum does not like transfers of mice between different rooms which
have a defined security level. Nothing changes if the mice are not sitting in a room with a defined security level
or if they are not moved in to a room with a defined security level. But if mice are tranferred between rooms with defined
security level you will get an Mouse Pope Alert and an email is sent to the responsible people. If the security
of the target room is higher the user has to justify the transfer by a comment which is appended to the
mail.
Pool area can be used also for cages
More than one cage can be dragged to transfer area or pool area
Colors in tables can be chosen using "Arrange columns"
Info-Dialog. You can invoke a dialog with informations (current version and version tracker) by clicking the

Import of new group from demo data
V 4.24.11
Demo creation improved. ZIP file exchangeable with Apple systems
Minor GUI changes
V 4.24.10
Added a little tolerance to the father determination. The general rules still apply:
The rules are as follows:
If we find a unique candidate take this
If there are more possible candidates let the user decide which one
If we find no candidate the user can chose from mature cage mate(s).
Was included because there could be an error in the date of the mouse
transfer or the user imported a couple which was already in a mating
in the group from which it was exported.
If there is still no candidate the user can choose from all actual male
mice which were mature at the date of conception
If also there was no possible father (resp. the user didn't choose one)
the litter i screated without father
Options 2, 3 and 4 are only possible with certain privileges which are
available only for guru, master (2, 3, 4) or cartaker (only 2)
But the primary candidate determination was a bit too strict in some cases.
The begin of the "hot phase" is assumed to be 28 days before delivery and
ends 16 days before delivery. If no potential father could be found Mausoleum
tries day by day for additional 6 days. If there is a unique candidate this one
is chosen. Otherwise the above mentioned rules b) to e) apply.
The Administrator can prepare demo versions of Mausoleum with the data of
individual groups. This gives you the possibility to give this demo versions
to new lab members to become a bit familiar with Mausoleum without modifying
your actual data
Strains can also have a specific color
New color mode: Strain
New color mode: Line/Strain. This color mode is a bit peculiar. The
color at first hand is determined by the mouse line. If it is a breeder
mouse the strain color is used. But this color is then surrounded
by a grey border.
Demo version is visualized in Scrollpanes
If you add a comment to a cage (using the "Add comment" button) you
have the option to add it also to all mice in the cage automatically
V 4.24.9
More recipients for mail can be specified
The actions which are invoked by pressing the blue buttons in the
"Actions"-area of the Inspector can be invoked via the context menu

(Maximum 3 days) Mausoleum will now group these pups together as
one litter
CIBIR printers show multiple lines per parent in mating cages if
one line is too small for the information
Strains can be defined as a mixture (e. g. if you want to set a
strain of an imported mouse to 50% BalbC and 50% C57)
While creating a litter with a strain micture mother's strains will
be the first ones shown for the pup
V 4.24.8

the mouse tables as P, F1, F2... by selecting the appropriate column.
While generating a litter Mausoleum calculates the generation of the
offspring. If you defined the generation of an animal this
number will be displayed. Otherwise the generation is calculated
from the generation markers of mum and dad if available.
If there are differences (e. g. you cross a F2 with a F5) the generation
marker of the offspring is the the largest number from the parents + 1.
But the generation markers of the parents will be displayed in this case.
Individual standard task can be defined with automatic completion
by setting a result for a given experiment
Tasks are shown for all mice which can be modified. Even if a different
favorite is set.
In Task list and Schedule you have a separate mouse table which shows
the mice of the selected tasks. You can change their attributes directly
from there.
Weaning alert ans plug alert is checked also for foreign cages and mice
if privilege is sufficient. In the responsible tables the "A" button shows
normal behaviour
When cage color mode "mating" is used, mating cages where at least
one of the parents has a missing genotype are shown in a darker
red color
Mouse ID-card is only shown as tooltip in genealogy tree or factsheets.
Separate action button in mouse inspector was removed
Mating report, visit report and plug report can now be invoked via
the context menu (right mouse button) in mouse tables.
Table with killed, newly created or weaned mice is shown in separate

sheet" in the context menu. It will show all relevant data. You can
also use the fact sheet frame like browser. You can click on everything
which is shown in blue. But you can also use multiple tabs (names are
changeable), move backward, forward or open link in new tab or window.

Object logs are now available (correcting also some oddities
reported by M. V.) for all objects. You get it by selecting "Show
object log" in the context menu of tables. It shows all the the
sessions and the commands by which the respective object was modified
Session protocols are revised. As a Guru you select the User and
click on "Show sessions". In the resulting window you see a list of
all sessions from this user. You see the session with commands in bold.
Clicking on one of these sessions shows in the panel on the right
hand side all the commands performed during that session.
Licenses can be specified with Attributes like license holder, start
and end of validity and maximum mouse count. You can also specify the users,
who might use the respective license. In the Mouse inspector you find
an extra button in the "Attributes" tab where you can specify the
license for the selected mouse. The License table shows you the maximum
number the used number and remaining number of mice as well as the killed,
died and exported mice for the licenses.
Documents can be attached to Rooms, Loci, Lines, Strains, Experiments
and Licenses. These document can be seen in the "Documents" tab of
the respective inspector. You can download the selected documents
to the client computer.
Finetuning of user privileges. The privileges of a user can be seen
on a very basal level in the "Privileges"-tab of the user inspector.
The Guru can selectively remove any of those privileges for the other

eartag but not the genotype.
You can specify a time preference for Tasks (morning, noon, afternoon
etc...)
In the Task window you will find in a second tab a schedule of all your
pending tasks. You can specify the time period (i. e. how many days from
today on) should be shown. You can also get printout. If you select a
task you will see the details of the task in task table below the schedule.
You can change the due date and time preference of tasks (if you are issuer
of the task or Guru) in the schedule tab by drag and drop.
Additional standard tasks can be defined and edited in a third tab of
the Task window. You can specify the description of the task, whether the
task can be assigned to male, female, unset or any mouse and the action
by which the task is automatically finished.
Also task bundles can be defined. You can select two or more standard
tasks and declare this bundle as a new standard task. You can then specify
a day offset and a time preference (morning, afternoon etc.) for each of
the primary tasks. If you later set such a task-bundle to a mouse several
tasks are created for each of the primary task at the selected date plus
the day offset specified before.
Improved determination of father during littering.
